Hello Again!

Aloha my children,
It has been a while since I've been here and I thought I'd greet you with my presence. I hope I wasn't missed "too much". Few days to go before I'm back to class, woe me for I will miss those glorious sleepin's of mine. I'm not inspired to say much here which isn't saying a whole lot bout me now is it. Anyhow's the DVD collection has reached a staggering 174! (Ice Age 2 incl.) Many drinks were had, and oddly enough I "lost" weight durin the xmas period! Flash news of the day "Ms. Flynn" wore a DRESS on Christmas day! Tragic!

Anyhows, I'm afraid to say my thoughts are far too sluggish to add more to this piece of shite! Good luck and Goodnight!
Enjoy the pic!

xoxo

Audioslave - Revelations

Break it down, Audioslave continue to master the art of kick ass guitar playin! Without the vocals of our beloved Chris Cornell there would be no icing on the cake. Watchin Miami Vice 2006, we are introduced to Audioslave's third album "Revelations" with "Shape of things to come" and "wide awake". I would have to say it certainly is a disappointment that neither of these tracks are on the miami vice OST. I was fortunate enough to allocate them through other means/sources. This album is for sure going to wet your tongue! Thx to Cornell and Morello! (yet again)!!!

Ray LaMontagne!

Ray LaMontagne

"Trouble...
Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble
Trouble been doggin' my soul since the day I was born..."

Ray is genius, while he has a scent of Jeff Buckley he is also unique in his own right. Recently heard "Trouble" while troddin thru another dismal day at work and found myself saying "Trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble...."

This is the man you listen to if u get the whole solo singer/song writer vibe, using ones own pure talent to please your ears.

He's got that classic soul flava going on but isnt limited by it either! "Forever my friend" and "Shelter" are other variants of him utilizing his own instrument, "his voice". Definitely worth checking out his first album "Trouble"!

Rods N Gab!

Rodrigo Y Gabriela, a duo of true spanish acoustic guitar playin! I got the opportunity to see these guys play in Cork's hot spot for gigs - The Savoy. They definitely have the spirit it takes to be known for their unique playing style and dedication! Gabriela plays or should I say strums and plucks with a flare of her own. Her hand looks like its on vibrate, as it moves between numerous notes through each of their pieces.

Rod gave us all a surprise when he did a take on one of Pink Floyd's Hits - Wish you were here. Every audience member sang the song so he wouldn't feel alone :)

They didn't forget to play "one", a track formerly written & performed by Metallica.

An Applause to you Rodrigo Y Gabriela!!!

Sends my soul away! :)

CH CHA CHEW on this one :) Chris Cornell is DA BOMB! I would kill to have one of his babies, just so i could say, Chris E YO Dad! haha, ok im just playin with ya! he is sex thou! Last summer at Oxegen Music Festival 2005, The Delectable Chris came on stage with former Rage Against The Machine Band Members and blew us all away! Even after all those european shows, he was wild and alive as he ever is...

I would like to know though, did he actually hear me say that he was a "sexy mother fucker" and then hear all the girls go HELL YEAH!!!! cos this did infact occur at the upper front of the stage area! so yah.... he strutted his stuff and pulled some vocal stunts i was in awe by! I would like to meet this guy in person for sure. A man of experience, maturity and many a dark story to tell , no doubt!

Today I threw on "Out of Exile", I just love how he can be so vocally soft one minute and then manifest the true soul of rock! He's a walkin talkin stimulator!

Dedicated to my love of you , Chris Cornell - You My Bomb!

Sony Bravia - The Advert

Sony Bravia - The Advert
Less than two seconds into this and I Start to believe I'm in my own city, Cork. Just that resemblence of moving over its peek and going down hill. I actually think Patricks Hill is one of the largest hill's in Ireland. Who would have thought this was an Advert for a Sony LCD TV though, not me. The idea of moving colour balls is abit wacky for such a product, but its catchy and I guess once you have our attention, we're hooked.

Moving on from this, the music played is by Jose Gonzalez - Heartbeats. I've started to take note that great music can be found on great tv adverts. Maybe I should explore this a little further eh :)
