Davy Spillane - Let Us Not Forget!

As he slowly fills his lungs to their utter capacity and his cheeks turn into two separate shapes of a balloon, he releases such enigmatic notes, that the soul releases those good ol' endorphins. I'm introducin you, if not remindin you of our beloved Davy Spillane from Co. Dublin, Ireland. Although he is from Ireland's Capital of vast noise and pollution he brings true sweetness and serenity with his Uilleann Pipes and Low Whistle pieces from Liscannor, Co. Clare.

For me he reminds us of our Irish Ancestory as he plays in movie scores such as "Michael Collins" and "Rob Roy". He has collaborated amongst Irish celebrities such as Sinead O' Connor, Van Morrison, Enya, Rory Gallagher, Paul Brady and Christy Moore. In 1995, he played a lament for one of Ireland's treasures, RiverDance. As this year has begun to unfold for me, so has his music. This is a pure genius that I will always play to my ears.

The Big 60!

It's finally here, the mother has reached the big 60! That means im getting old too, or so she keeps reminding me! tut tut :o) Saturday gone, we went to the new bar "McCarthys Bistro" on modelfarm rd. T'was pretty mental when the mother started singing a karaokee tune "It's my party and i'll cry if i want to". I had to stare at my feet for a whole 3 minutes just so i wouldn't have to laugh at her , haha :)

ah shure, old age catches up with us all ... If only I could defy the laws of nature! Such is life eh?! :)
